Dr. Sean Lucan

VP and Medical Director

Dr. Sean Lucan comes to EHE Health after more than 15 years in academic medicine.

An expert in prevention, Dr. Lucan has published many peer-reviewed papers, several of which derive from his own grant-funded research. He’s also co-authored two textbooks: one on clinical nutrition; another on biostatistics, epidemiology, preventive medicine, and public health.

Dr. Lucan is a practicing family physician and long-time teacher of doctors in training, with broad, deep knowledge of evidence-based patient care. From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked as an independent consultant, advising business and schools on keeping their populations safe.

At EHE Health, Dr. Lucan will lead the company’s Lifestyle Medicine and “Safe at Work” programs. More broadly, he will serve as the medical conscience for the organization.

Dr. Lucan earned his MD and MPH degrees at Yale University before obtaining an MS in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a former Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar, and a recent fellow at the National Academy of Medicine (formerly the Institute of Medicine).
