Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get access to EHE Health?

How is EHE different from my annual physical with my primary care doctor?

EHE Health complements (but does not replace) your primary care physician. The key differences:

  • Time: Primary care visits average 17-24 minutes; EHE exams provide extended, unrushed time focused exclusively on prevention
  • Comprehensiveness: Research shows only 29% of recommended preventive services are delivered in standard primary care visits due to time constraints. EHE provides 100% of age-appropriate preventive screenings
  • Focus: Primary care manages acute symptoms, chronic conditions, and medications. EHE specializes in early detection of diseases before symptoms appear
  • Year-round support: EHE includes unlimited access to Health Navigation Nurses and personal Health Coaching between annual exams

Based on your exam results, EHE provides health insights and recommendations that support and enhance the care you receive from your primary care physician.

How long does the exam take?

Plan for approximately 60-90 minutes for your complete EHE exam, including all screenings, lab work, and one-on-one time with your physician. This is significantly longer than the 17-24 minute average primary care visit, allowing for a thorough assessment of your health risks.

What happens after my exam?

After your exam, you’ll receive a comprehensive health report through your secure myEHE portal. Your report includes:

  • All lab results and screening findings
  • Year-over-year comparisons to track your health progress
  • Personalized recommendations based on your risk factors
  • Referrals to specialists if needed

Your results are completely private and are never shared with your employer. If follow-up care is needed, our Health Navigation Center will coordinate referrals and help you schedule appointments with appropriate specialists.

What if my exam finds something abnormal?

If your exam identifies a health concern, EHE’s Health Navigation Nurses will coordinate referrals to specialists and help you schedule follow-up appointments. We work with your primary care physician to ensure continuity of care. You’ll also have access to Health Coaching to support lifestyle changes that can improve your health outcomes.

Is my health information private?

Yes. Your health information is protected under HIPAA regulations and is never shared with your employer. Your employer receives only aggregate, de-identified population health data to assess program effectiveness—no individual results or participation information.

How much does this cost me?

When offered through your employer, your EHE Health exam is typically provided at no additional cost to you—no copay, no deductible. This includes your annual exam, year-round access to Health Navigation Nurses, and Health Coaching sessions. Confirm coverage details with your HR or benefits administrator, as program availability and cost are determined by your employer.

Where can I get my exam?

EHE operates 7 owned state-of-the-art clinics and nearly 200 network locations across 40 states. When you book your exam through my.ehe.health, you’ll be able to select a convenient location near you. See all locations here.

Can I bring my spouse or partner?

Eligibility for spouses and dependents varies by employer. Check with your HR or benefits administrator to confirm whether your employer’s EHE benefit extends to family members.

How often can I have an EHE exam?

Most employees are eligible for one comprehensive EHE exam per enrollment period (typically annually). Between exams, you have year-round access to Health Navigation Nurses and Health Coaching to track progress on health goals like weight loss, cholesterol management, or stress reduction.
