About EHE Health
What is EHE Health’s mission?
EHE Health is the preeminent nationwide provider of preventive healthcare, serving employers and their employees for over 100 years. Our comprehensive approach to preventive care and well-being is a lifetime investment in our members’ health, productivity and longevity.
What does EHE Health specialize in?
EHE Health specializes in the early detection of diseases and health risks. We aim to help people live healthier lives through comprehensive preventive health care services.
How does EHE Health differ from my primary care doctor?
EHE Health does not replace your primary care physician. Based on the results of your exam, we provide you with health insights and mentorship that can support and enhance the care you receive from your doctor.
Even if you feel healthy, eat wisely and exercise regularly, it’s important to have the EHE Health Pulse™ Physical because it screens for and can identify many medical conditions before you feel sick or notice any symptoms. This includes a wide range of chronic diseases. In fact, early management is more effective than later treatment for many health conditions.
Will your services cost me anything?
No. All services, including the annual exam and health coaching, are free and without a copay.
Is this insurance?
No. This is a preventive health care benefit. Your insurance is still your insurance. Taking advantage of this exam will not impact your health insurance coverage.
About Prevention
What is prevention?
Prevention focuses on the prevention of disease and illness rather than treatment. Focusing on prevention first helps spot issues early and reduces the risk of developing problems later on.
Most primary care focuses on sick care, leaving limited time to spend on preventive care. EHE Health is committed to preventive care because we know that early detection and intervention significantly reduces mortality and illness risks! Even when preventive care is provided through traditional primary care physicians, it is incomplete due to time and capacity constraints. Our physicians spend meaningful, unrushed time assessing patient health and lifestyle factors and engaging in shared decision making on preventive measures (i.e., immunizations, cancer screening options, etc…).
How can I prioritize prevention in everyday life?
Eating balanced, nutritious meals, getting exercise that’s appropriate for you, managing stress, developing a positive mental attitude and other factors are key to prevention. To learn more about these and other health topics from our experts, go to our blog here.

The Exam Experience
What tests are included in my visit?
All the screenings are clinically indicated for your needs and risks. This includes:
- Standard measurements, such as vital signs and body composition.
- Screenings & risk assessments, including a cardiorespiratory test, mental health evaluation, and vision/hearing screenings.
- Lab work to test cholesterol levels, blood sugar, and more.
- Additional follow-ups, such as a screening mammogram, bone density scan, and colonoscopy.
Are any of the tests optional?
Of course. We give you the opportunity to experience our full range of the latest preventive screenings, as well as age and gender appropriate evaluations for heart health, cancer, mental health, and other risks. Each EHE Health visit is personalized for you, and you can opt out of certain offerings if you prefer.
Do I have to fast before my exam?
Only if you are over 50 and scheduled for a cardiovascular screening. We’ll give you simple instructions for preparing, including what to wear.
Will EHE Health write prescriptions for any medications I may need?
EHE Health provides preventive health, but not prescriptive pharmaceutical treatment. Your medications will be managed by your primary care physician or a specialist.
Can EHE Health refer me to specialists?
If our physician identifies a health concern that requires examination by a specialist, we can coordinate a referral for you. EHE Health can also help you find a primary care physician if you do not have one.
What about follow-up visits?
While most patients are eligible for the full comprehensive health exam once per enrollment period, our physician-led expert medical team and health mentorship program are included in your EHE Health benefit and available as part of your year-round prevention program. You’ll even be able to come back to track your progress with health goals like weight loss or lowering your cholesterol.
Digital Access & Post-Exam
How are my records handled/made available?
You and your EHE Health physician discuss most of your exam results on the day of your visit. All of your results will be available for viewing through the myEHE patient portal within 48-72 hours. You’ll receive a phone call from a physician, or the physician’s office, if you have significant abnormal results.
How do I access my health records?
Go to my.ehe.health/results. There you will find your health records of all of your EHE Health exams and visits. This allows you to compare results year over year, from lab results to your EHE Health reports. You’ll also have a record of inoculations for future use.
How does scheduling work?
- Log in to my.ehe.health.
- Go to my appointments.
- Select preferred date and time at nearest clinic or provider location > look out for pre-exam emails to prepare.
How does Health Coaching work?
After your exam, you’ll receive post-exam emails to get started with a Health Coach. You’ll be able to book your one-on-one phone or video sessions with one of our coaches on your myEHE portal. You are eligible to have 12 a year at intervals that work best for your schedule.
Can I share my EHE Health records with other physicians?
Yes. We make the process simple and seamless. Your records are always yours, and with your approval, can be shared with other physicians you authorize. Just go to Health Records> Share My Medical Records and fill out a short, simple form.
What else can I use the portal for?
In addition to providing the results from all your EHE Health exams and visits, the portal has your vaccine records, and Quick Stats of your health. It’s also where you can complete the health assessment, get referrals, schedule sessions for one-on-one health coaching (telephone and video session options available), stay informed with content personalized for you, get important reminders and instructions, and test your health IQ.
